Bulletin Board

PARI has begun sponsoring a bulletin board on our site. Our hope is that this on-line community will grow a useful collection of information and experience that families, educators and others can use to promote family involvement.

Workshops

PARI has begun offering workshops for parents, parent groups, and schools. Customized workshops are available to help parents and educators learn how to involve families in their children's learning.


New article

A new article written by PARI founder, Krzysztof Grabarek, has been posted on our website. The title of the article is "Staying Involved: Approaches to Helping Our Middle School and High School Students Learn".

Parent Workshop: Helping Our Middle and High School Children Learn

Krzysztof Grabarek presented a two-session workshop for parents at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). A learning skills approach to helping adolescents learn at home was presented.

Helping our Children Learn: Overcoming intellectual discomfort to increase parent involvement


PARI's founder Krzysztof Grabarek presented a talk at the Unitarian Universalist Congregational Society of Westborough, Massachusetts. Using some of John Dewey's views on education, the talk proposed a starting point from which parents can begin defining their role in their children's learning.
